The DDH is a community-driven initiative that aims to become a comprehensive registry for institutionally published and scholar-led Open Access journals without author fees in Europe, designed to improve the visibility and discoverability of diamond OA journals.   We are pleased to announce the publication of two new contributions to Music & Minorities. In her article “Changes and Chances in Ethnomusicological Fieldwork: Navigating the Loss of a Research Partner,” Eva Leick examines the impact of the death of a research partner in long-term fieldwork in ethnomusicology and related fields (read the full article here). • First Contributions of Volume 5 (2026) Out Now

  The first two reviews curated by our new Review Editor, Evrim Hikmet Ögüt, open this year’s Volume 5 (2026) of Music & Minorities. Burcu Yaşin discusses Adriana N. Helbig’s 2023 book ReSounding Poverty: Romani Music and Development Aid (read the full review here). Jana Belišová engages with the digital exhibition Olga Fečová’s Museum: The Familial Soundscapes of a Romani Band Leader (2022), which has been curated by Zuzana Jurková (read the full review here).

• New Policy on “Authorship, Contributorship, and Artificial Intelligence” and New Section “Forum”

  M&M recently updated its journal policies. In addition to minor revisions and clarifications, two major changes are worth highlighting: (1) a completely new policy on “Authorship, Contributorship, and Artificial Intelligence,” and (2) a new section titled “Forum,” providing a space for contributions that do not fall into the established categories of peer-reviewed articles or reviews.
